If your little ones are LEGO-obsessed (let’s be honest, whose aren’t?), then a trip to LEGOLAND Windsor is the ultimate day out. It’s colourful, creative, packed with fun rides and activities for all ages—and best of all, it’s just a short trip from London. Whether you’ve got daring tweens, energetic preschoolers or toddlers on their first big day out, LEGOLAND delivers the goods in spades (and bricks!).
Let’s break it down into the must-do RIDES and ACTIVITIES to make your day as smooth as a freshly built LEGO wall…
RIDES – Big Thrills & Brick-tastic Chills
Lego Mythica: Journey to Mythica Land
Brand new-ish and seriously impressive, Mythica is where fantasy creatures come to life—and the Flight of the Sky Lion is LEGOLAND’s first-ever flying theatre ride. Think soaring through the skies with 4D effects—wind, water, and scents! Perfect for older kids and brave little ones (minimum height is 1m).
Pirate Falls: Treasure Quest
Ahoy, mateys! This is a classic log flume with a splashy ending—don’t say we didn’t warn you. A mix of piratey animatronics, tropical tunes and a very refreshing drop at the end. Bring a poncho or a spare t-shirt, especially on warmer days.
Driving School
One of the most iconic LEGOLAND experiences—and an absolute must-do for kids aged 6–13. They get to drive their own electric car (on real roads with roundabouts and traffic lights!) and even earn a LEGOLAND driving licence. For littlies (3–5), there’s the L-Drivers version too.
The Dragon
A gentle start through a magical LEGO castle with twinkly scenes, then suddenly—zoom! It turns into a proper coaster. Not too scary, but thrilling enough for first-time rollercoaster riders. Our top pick for kids wanting to “graduate” to bigger rides.
Viking River Splash
A river rapids ride with a Viking twist—expect spinning boats, water cannons, and loads of giggles. It’s very splashy (yes, again!) so dry clothes or quick-dry shorts are your friend.
ACTIVITIES – Chill Time (But Still Full of Fun!)

Miniland
Don’t skip this! Tiny recreations of famous landmarks (Big Ben, Eiffel Tower, even Star Wars scenes!) all made out of LEGO. Buttons to press, trains that move, boats that sail—it's like a living LEGO city. Kids and grown-ups love it.
Build and Test
Need a break from queues? This indoor zone is fab. Kids can build their own LEGO cars and test them on ramps and tracks. There’s a DUPLO® version too for younger builders. Air-con + creativity = win-win.
DUPLO Valley
For toddlers and preschoolers, this area is dreamy. A giant soft-play castle, gentle water splash zone (bring swimmers and towels!), and adorable rides like DUPLO Dino Coaster—their very first rollercoaster.
Puppet Shows & LEGO 4D Cinema
Sit down, rest your legs, and enjoy some entertainment. There are regular puppet shows near the DUPLO Theatre and 4D LEGO movies with bubbles, wind, and even snow! Check showtimes when you arrive.
Top Tips for a Brick-tacular Day
Download the LEGOLAND app – Live queue times, map, show schedules and ride height checker.
Height Matters – Check height requirements before you promise a ride!
Pack swimmers – For splash zones and water rides. Towels, too!
Bring snacks – Food on-site is decent but can be pricey and busy.
Go early or stay late – Queues are shortest first thing and after 4pm.
Birthday treat? – Ask for a birthday badge at guest services. Staff often make a fuss!
Final Thoughts

LEGOLAND Windsor is one of those places where kids’ imaginations run wild—and you’ll probably end up wanting to build a LEGO castle yourself by the end. Whether it’s their first visit or their fifth, there’s always something new to discover (and new models to admire). Just don’t forget the sunscreen and comfortable shoes - then everything will be awesome.
