Greenwich and Docklands International Festival

Location: Greenwich, Docklands, and various venues across East London
This is one of the city’s most spectacular outdoor arts festivals! From dazzling street parades to awe-inspiring performances, the event features interactive installations and workshops perfect for families. Kids will love the colourful processions and immersive storytelling experiences.
Notting Hill Carnival
Dates: August 23 – August 25th 2025
Location: Notting Hill
The vibrant Notting Hill Carnival celebrates Caribbean culture with music, dance, and food. Families can enjoy the parades filled with dazzling costumes and upbeat music while exploring the food stalls offering delicious Caribbean flavours. Sunday 24th is the day specifically earmarked for families.
The Underbelly Festival
Dates: TBC but rumoured to be July until September 2025
Location: Various spots around London
The Underbelly Festival is set to return to London in 2025, continuing its tradition of providing a vibrant platform for a diverse range of performances and entertainment. This annual festival, known for its unique and eclectic atmosphere, showcases a variety of acts including comedy, live music, circus performances, and theatrical productions, as well as food stalls, bars and a great family vibe.

Summer Sounds at Somerset House
Dates: July 10th until July 20th 2025
Location: Somerset House, Strand
Enjoy live music in the iconic courtyard of Somerset House! This open-air concert series features a lineup of diverse artists and genres. While the music is geared towards all audiences, the venue often has specific kid-friendly performances and activities on select afternoons.
Southbank Centre’s Summer Series
Dates: Now until August 31st 2025
Location: Southbank Centre, South Bank
The Southbank Centre hosts a variety of indoor and outdoor musical performances throughout the summer. From jazz ensembles to classical quartets, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while soaking in the riverside views.
Events and Parades

Pride in London Parade
Date: July 6th 2025
Location: Central London
The Pride Parade is a celebration of diversity and inclusion, drawing thousands to the streets of London. Families can enjoy the vibrant floats, live entertainment, and colourful costumes that fill the parade route, and there's a special area for families at Victoria Embankment Gardens, where you'll find kid-friendly activities and performances.
Kids Week in London’s West End
Dates: July 21st until August 31st 2025
Location: Various West End theatres
During Kids Week, children aged 16 and under can attend West End shows for free when accompanied by a paying adult, with up to two other kid's tickets for half price, and with so many awesome kid-friendly shows to see, this is an offer you won't want to miss out on. Tickets go on sale from June 10th.
Fun Sports for Kids in London This Summer!

Looking for outdoor fun? Time to get sporty!
Foot Golf
Try Foot Golf at Golf Kingdom in Romford! It’s like golf, but instead of hitting a tiny ball with a club, you kick a football into giant holes (pictured top)! It’s super fun for all ages and great for playing with your family or friends. Don’t forget your trainers!
Cycling in the Park
Bring your bike to Hyde Park or Richmond Park for a ride with family. You might even spot some deer while pedalling through the great outdoors.
Water Play
Cool off at Tooting Bec Lido or splash around at King's Cross Splash Park — perfect on sunny days.
