Lockdown weekend 3 is almost upon us, so here are some fun things to do this weekend with the kids (21-22 November) that Boris can't ruin with his rules...
1. Gather pine cones
Wrap up, pull on your wellies and, if the weather stays dry, go for a walk in your nearest park or forest and gather pine cones. You're going to need them for the Xmas craft guides we'll be publishing soon, and they'll need time to dry out! But, if you can't wait for that, then we've also got a lovely autumn craft guide that will keep you busy in the meantime.
2. Create your own Xmas cards
We can't get out to the shops right now to buy Xmas cards, but making them is a whole heap more fun anyway. Dive into our DIY Xmas card guide and treat yours-elf to a lovely crafternoon with the kiddos.
3. Whip up some slime
Given what icky little creatures children can be, we reckon they'll have a blast creating their own slime factory! Probably best to have a mop on standby, mind...
4. Pop some corn for a film fest
The cinemas might be closed, but that doesn't mean we can't bring some movie magic into our own living rooms. Pop some corn, gather snacks and then snuggle down with some of these classic family flicks.
5. Go on a scavenger hunt
Get into the great outdoors for a fun-packed adventure that'll keep the whole fam entertained: a scavenger hunt! Create your own depending on your kiddos' ages, and where you intend to do the hunt, or try this lovely, free printable by Buddy & Buggy.
